Even the honourable Okinawan karate masters of old
could not agree on a syllabus for all styles, so what
gives anyone the right to criticise another club's syllabus today?

There is no debate about our size or our success.  No single membership club on the planet is as big as GKR! There are literally thousands upon thousands of very happy students and instructors in GKR karate who simply can’t understand where any of this “GKR karate scam” is coming from.  Each week, tens of thousands in GKR pay for a traditional karate class, and they learn - stop the press -  traditional karate! More importantly, some of those who join and stay, have practiced traditional karate before - sometimes to a high level! Yet they stick with GKR, and often even go on to become instructors.

There have always been differences of opinion, since the days of its foundation, about what represented effective karate. Even the greats: Funakoshi, Miyagi, Itosu, and others, debated fiercely what should be in a karate syllabus. So don't be fooled by people who disagree with our syllabus - the internet has given these opinionated, hypocritical blowhards and bullies a louder voice - it hasn't made them more right!

The fact that GKR has existed for 27 years gives lie to the claim that we are running a scam. After all, what scammer sticks around and provides a service for 27 years!?

Sadly, a lot of lies are told about GKR; most often, BY PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER EVEN TRAINED WITH US, and who claim to believe in honour and integrity. These hypocrites will preach the virtues of respect, whilst mercilessly trouble-making and attacking their greatest rival. On this site, I will be disproving all of the common lies that are told.
